"Save The Beaver River Trestle" on Alberta's Iron Horse Trail

As many of you probably know, on June 22, 2012 vandals set fire to the Beaver River Trestle, rendering the historic train trestle unusable and closing a section of the Iron Horse Trail.  A competition has been entered for the Aviva Community Fund for funding to have the trestle restored - all that's needed is votes.

 

 There are 3 qualifying rounds of voting before the final vote.  This cause is now in the second qualifier after losing out in the first qualifier - many votes are still required to continue to the semi-finals.  There are 7 days left before the voting deadline for the second qualifier and each voter can vote once per day.

    This competition is still in 14th place and needs 10th place or better to make it to the semi finals.

    After losing out in the second qualifier, we successfully made it to the semi-finals in the third qualifier. Now the competition is fierce for a spot in the finals where the decision will be lift to the judges.

    We have until Dec 11 to get our votes in and we'll need every vote we can get. Be sure to vote every day.
